The ValleRy is LIVE and the response has been huge. The launch event at the JRNY Gallery kicked off with a display of Zoë's 'Everything Starts with a Pencil' exhibition on the banks of screens in the gallery. The Portals into the VR Gallery were embedded into the artwork and more than 60 people visited the gallery in its first 24 hours.
Zoë presented the ValleRy project and talked about the need for more gallery space for both Las Vegas and Internationals artists to showcase their work, and the really great thing about the ValleRy is that it opens up the artists' work to the whole world!
Zoë has a foot in both Las Vegas and London and has used that connection in a prior VR project she developed in her role as founder of the ASN, and as an RSA Fellow, it was so successful she is doing it again with The ValleRy.
Multiple galleries and venues signed up on the night to be Portal Partners and will join the growing number of Portals positioned around Las Vegas to promote the ValleRy.
The ValleRy is virtually situated at Lake Mead, it is displaying Zoë's work until December after which a new exhibition showcasing one UK and one Las Vegas artist will open, news on that to follow soon.
The ValleRy - The first, paid for in part by Nevada Arts Council and National Endowment for the Arts, Virtual Reality gallery for Las Vegas and International artists, and creators. The Vallery is the same as an IRL gallery but different in that it can be seen from anywhere in the world giving exhibitors extraordinary, and unparalleled exposure.
