General care
Artwork
- Hang artwork away from direct sunlight.
- If you need to store the artwork keep it flat rather than rolled. Protect it with tissue paper and cardboard, or a rigid packaging material.
- Don’t cut your artwork to fit a frame, get a frame that fits the artwork.
- Keep the temperature and humidity levels at normal settings and try to avoid extremes and changes.
- Keep your certificate of ownership safe.
Artwear
If you have the space the best place for your garment, when you are not wearing it, is either folded in a drawer, or hanging in a wardrobe or closet, and out of direct sunlight.
Washing
All our garments are designed to be hand or machine washed, in cold or cool water.
All fabric is prewashed to ensure minimum shrinkage.
We ask you to only wash your items when you really need to, to reduce water usage.
If ironing, please iron on the opposite side to the printed pattern, and use a cool iron.
We would rather you did not use a Dry-cleaning service; if you do please use one that uses Green Dry Cleaning.
Artwear repairs
Garments, if damaged, should be repaired, not thrown away.
All items that have buttons will have a spare button sewn into the inside seam of the body.
All garments are sent with a patch of matching material for repairs. If you don't have a piece of material big enough, get in touch, we might still have a piece in our R&D cupboard.
You can return your item to us to repair, for a charge. Please contact us to order a repair service.
