Project: Celebrate Las Vegas (Las Vegas Influence on Absolutely Everything)
In 1905, the San Pedro, Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad arrived in Las Vegas, marking the beginning of the city's existence. The railroad also brought many travelers and residents to the area. The last passenger train, the Desert Wind left the Las Vegas station in 1997, it was a part of the Chicago Los Angeles line, the whole journey was 48 hours. I found this beautiful rusted red train at Nevada State Museum.
